Joao joined Delta Partners in 2008 and has almost 20 years of management consulting experience advising a multitude of clients in the telecoms, media and tech (TMT) space in Western Europe and Latin America.

Joao brings to his role extensive experience of both the TMT sector and advisory expertise in areas such as business strategy definition and development, financial advisory on M&As and strategic partnerships, consulting on technology-related aspects, enterprise ICT, mobile data, financial services and tower management. His specific client involvements include developing strategic growth plans and launching fixed and mobile operations, M&A, valuation, funding and strategic partnerships and setting up and optimising distribution channels for the mass markets as well as designing value propositions for the low-end segments.

Before joining Delta Partners, Joao worked at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Arthur D. Little, as a member of the telecom practice. In his previous roles, Joao consulted clients in telecommunications, infrastructure, fast-moving consumer goods as well as commercial banking spheres in Europe and Latin America.

Joao received an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Tecnico in Lisbon. He is fluent in English and Portuguese and has a good working knowledge of Spanish.
